Queen Camilla stepped out in Ascot over the weekend just hours after Prince Andrew‘s bombshell announcement. And one of the Queen’s sartorial choices carried a hidden message she may have been trying to communicate, an expert has claimed. The Queen Camilla carried on with her royal duties by attending the Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire on Saturday.

Her brother-in-law Andrew was further banished from the Royal Family on Friday over his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and allegations that he sexually assaulted Virginia Giuffre, which he denies. Camilla – a keen racing fan – was dressed in a pale blue coat, pearl drop earrings and cream hat with matching blue ribbon.

She was spotted happily chatting to royal racing manager John Warren and also presented jockey Jason Watson with a trophy after he won the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Cicero’s Gift.

However, the Queen also donned a stunning light blue brooch which caught people’s attention.

The striking piece featured a blue cabochon gemstone, believed to be moonstone, which was surrounded by diamonds.

Camilla first debuted the brooch in 2022 and jewellery experts estimate it to be worth £30,000.

But aside from its beauty and value, experts have claimed the brooch carries a deeper meaning, that of “renewal,” which could be intepreted as a significant message about the Royal Family’s approach to the latest Prince Andrew bombshells.

Maxwell Stone, of jewellers Steven Stone, said: “There’s been much speculation surrounding Queen Camilla’s latest brooch, as its origin remains a mystery.

“The [central gem] has long been cherished by royalty and jewellery enthusiasts alike, prized for its symbolic meanings of feminine energy, new beginnings, calmness, intuition, and safe travel.

“Intriguingly, moonstone is also said to possess the power to heal emotional rifts and reunite loved ones divided by conflict – a sentiment that feels particularly poignant given the Royal Family’s recent challenges [regarding Prince Andrew].”

He added: “Against this backdrop, Queen Camilla’s choice of the moonstone brooch – a gem associated with reconciliation and renewal — seemed quietly symbolic, perhaps even hopeful, amid the ongoing distance between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the rest of the family.

“The more transparent and bluer a moonstone is, the more valuable it becomes. Based on its design and the apparent quality of the gemstone, I’d estimate Queen Camilla’s brooch to be worth approximately £30,000.”
