A popular premium meat brand has issued a recall for a certain batch of one of its products. Heck, known for its pork and chicken sausages and burgers, revealed a batch of one of its burgers has been recalled from stores after a packaging mix up.

The brand, which is stocked at supermarkets including Tesco and Waitrose, explained that the packaging mix up resulted in some batches of the Heck Minted Lamb Burgers being replaced with another product – and could pose a risk to customers with allergies and intolerances to milk. The affected batches were incorrectly packaged with Heck Steak and Butter Burger, which display the Minted Lamb sleeve. This mix up could pose a risk to customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, as the Heck Steak and Butter Burger contains milk.

Customers who have purchased the affected batch of the burger are being advised not to eat them, particularly customers who have an allergy or intolerance to milk or constituents.

The product affected by the recall can be found below, along with the use by date:

If shoppers have purchased the affected batch of Heck burgers, they are encouraged to return the item to place of purchase for a full refund.

For further enquiries and information about this recall, customers are encouraged to call Heck directly on 01845 567 709 or email at sausages@heckfood.co.uk.

Heck has been approached for comment.
