Philips ‘best’ electric shaver discounted by 61% today only
Self-care can look like a good clean shave, and shoppers hoping to upgrade their shaving routine or switch from a traditional razor to an electric shaver can now get one at a massive discount.
The Philips Electric Shaver 3000 Series is currently on sale on Amazon for £54.99, slashed from £139.99, reports the Mirror. This represents a whopping 61% saving, but shoppers need to act fast, as the sale ends at midnight today (Monday). Though Amazon Prime Big Deals Days is due to kick off tomorrow, it’s not clear whether the shaver will be included in the sale.
The shaver claims to offer a comfortable, clean shave and is suitable for both wet and dry use. The brand says the blades are made from hypoallergenic steel to resist corrosion and protect the skin. The head pivots in five directions to cover every curve of the face, cutting and trimming hair just above skin level for optimal results. There’s also an additional trimmer that can be used to define areas like sideburns and moustaches.
Amazon shoppers gave the shaver an average rating of 4.5 stars out of five from over 16,000 reviews.
“Excellent shaver, definitely the best one I have ever had,” wrote one happy customer, “I highly recommend it to anyone.”
A second review described this as the “best electric shaver (they’ve) used in a long time.” They added: “Makes you feel like you are using shaving cream even though you aren’t. Excellent.”
“At last, an electric shaver that does the job,” said a third shopper.
Another review pointed out the shaver was an improvement on older Philips models, saying this particular one “gives such a nice shave, a lot closer and smoother than other Philips shavers I’ve had in the past.”
One drawback that several shoppers pointed out was that the shaver comes with a USB charger and cannot be plugged directly into a plug socket, which is worth considering, as it may not be convenient for everyone.
Nevertheless, some saw this as a positive, with one shopper saying it makes it “great for travelling” and another that it “charges pleasingly fast”.
