If your children’s excitement for conventional Easter eggs has waned — if that’s possible — there are a few ways to liven things up. For instance, you could purchase a toy that’s not only an enjoyable project, but an egg that can be admired year after year.

One such toy is LEGO’s Decorative Easter Egg toy. The egg is priced at £18, but some parents could pay considerably less for the toy by utilising a cashback offer. An offer from TopCashback permits new customers of both TopCashback and Argos to buy the toy for as little as £2.55. Meanwhile, parents who are new to TopCashback but existing members of Argos can obtain the toy for only marginal amount more (£2.85 after cashback).

The Lego Easter Egg toy set, which is designed for kids aged nine or over, can be further personalised to your child’s tastes once the base egg has been assembled.

For instance, you can add vibrant gems or even a golden heart to the completed piece to make it stand out among other Easter decorations. It also features a selection of extra tiles to further redecorate the egg whenever your child wishes, with the egg serving as additional storage for any leftover pieces.

The completed Easter Egg model measures over 10cm high and 7cm deep whilst including 386 pieces, reports Manchester Evening News.

Alternatively, you can opt for this LEGO Easter Bunny and Chick Egg Hunt construction set, which has been discounted from £11 to £8.80. This set, which permits you to position easter eggs atop a tree, is appropriate for youngsters aged eight and above, according to LEGO.

Customers who have previously bought the LEGO Decorative Easter Egg toy set praised it for being an entertaining activity for their youngsters. One customer wrote: “Enjoyed building this egg for Easter. Nice touch having bricks so you can decorate it in different ways.”

Another added: “My granddaugters had fun building these to give their parents for Easter instead of chocolate. They also changed them slightly to be more personal.”

Nevertheless, not everyone is pleased with the set, with one customer on LEGO writing: “I love Lego, but I am not loving this build. At step 33 every time I try to put the sides of the egg on the whole thing falls apart even though I have the studs lined up. I’ve tried about five times without success. Very disappointing. I’m about to give up”.
