Nobel Physics prize awarded to U.S. trio for discoveries in quantum mechanics

The Nobel Prize in Physics was on Tuesday awarded to three U.S.-based scientists for their discoveries in quantum mechanics.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the prize to John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis “for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit,” the organization said on X.
