No7 £20 skincare set praised by 70-year-old shopper
Christmas is just a matter of days away, and if you’re still looking for some last-minute stocking fillers or presents, Boots has a huge range of gifts, from Advent calendars to its weekly updated Star Gifts. Whether you’re restocking on your favourites or shopping for a skincare lover, we’ve found a £20 No7 set full of essentials that works for all ages, and you can get it in time for Christmas.
The No7 Skincare Essentials five-Piece Collection retails for £20 and contains everything you need to build a comprehensive skincare routine, from cleansers and toners to moisturisers and face masks. It has fans of all ages, with one review saying: “This is a gorgeous product. I am 70 years old and get many compliments about my skin. I’ve used No7 for years and won’t change. Why should I? Their products are fantastic and not tested on animals.”
However, according to reviews, the products inside work just as well on mature skin as they do for younger skin, with one shopper writing: “The products are very gentle on young skin, leaving it feeling soft, fresh, and well-nourished. The gift box comes with a lovely variety of items, making it a great value and a real treat to open. It’s the perfect Christmas present, beautifully packaged, high quality, and suitable for all ages.”
There are five products inside, and four of them are travel size, making this a great gift for someone who’d like to take their skincare essentials on the go. At the same time, it’s an ideal starter kit for individuals new to skincare, as the products are suitable for all skin types.
“Bought this as a gift, but I’m so tempted to keep it for myself,” a Boots customer said, adding: “Everything you need for your daily skincare routine. Kind and gentle to your skin, but leaves it clean and soft to the touch. Great for all skin types, young or mature. It comes in a ready made gift box.”
Inside this gift set is a foaming cleanser suitable for all skin types. The soft foam is designed to remove impurities and makeup, and promises to clean skin without stripping it, protecting its natural balance.
The next step after cleansing is toner, and the set contains a toning water that promises to help reduce the appearance of pores and even out the complexion, to prepare the skin for more products.
Both the cleanser and toner contain ginseng and vitamins C, E, and B5, which the brand claims help revitalise the complexion.
There are also a day cream and a night cream from No7’s Essential Moisture range, both formulated with soothing elderflower and vitamins E and F. The day cream (which is sold out on its own) promises to keep skin hydrated during the day, while the richer night cream claims to nourish the skin and help replenish it overnight.
Winter can dry out skin, and the final product in the gift set is a full-size hydration mask that can provide a much-needed boost of hydration.
Another wrote: “Really impressed with the night and day moisturisers, face feels so fresh and smooth. I have used No7 products for years.”
A loyal user of the night cream said: “I have used this night cream for more years than I can remember, at least 50, I should think. It is just so good and at a very reasonable price, why would I ever think of changing? It works for me and always has done. Smooth, creamy and easily absorbed. No smell either, which is a bonus as far as I am concerned.”
Referring specifically to the hydration mask, one shopper said: “This was a gift, and I recently started to use it on my post menopause skin. I leave it on overnight every other night, and in only a week, my skin looks so much better, softer and brighter. I use other No7 moisturisers as well, but this is a game-changer for my skin. Love it and will definitely be buying some more when it runs out.”
If you want to receive your order in time for Christmas, you could opt for standard delivery, but as Boots notes, it can take up to five business days, so it may be a risk, especially during the festive period. For a safer option, the retailer also offers next-day delivery and nominated-day delivery for an additional fee, ensuring it arrives on time.
The Essentials Collection claims to work for many skin types, but if you have more specific skin concerns you’d like to address, you can explore No7’s full range of gift sets on the Boots website or directly on the No7 website.
