There’s nothing quite like securing a new perfume, particularly when it comes with a discount. Currently, Amazon has reduced the price of a fragrance that’s charming customers with its nostalgic, holiday-inspired notes.

Nivea’s Sun Eau de Toilette is now available for £20.50 (originally £26.45) for a 30ml bottle, offering fans a saving of £8. Shoppers are dubbing it ‘summer in a bottle’ and vowing to ‘buy it again. The fragrance draws inspiration from Nivea’s iconic sunscreen, designed to stir memories of relaxed beach holidays and the salty scent of the sea.

The perfume opens with fresh citrus and subtle florals, anchored by a warm, woody base and concludes with a soft, airy freshness that lingers like a day spent basking in the sun. Even the bottle exudes sunny vibes. Its smooth, rounded design features a radiant sunset-style gradient, making it look as summery on the shelf as it smells on the skin, reports OK!.

There are plenty more summer-ready perfumes on offer – for those who adore a holiday scent, Maison Margiela’s Beach Walk is worth considering, it’s currently on offer at LookFantastic and reduced from £62 to £52.70. The luxurious fragrance carries hints of coconut and citrus.

Alternatively, Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa 62 perfume mist (£18) is a classic choice that reminds shoppers of “beach, samba and fun”. With notes of pistachio and salted caramel, it brings the warmth of Brazil to the wearer with a dash of sunny, sensuous deliciousness.

Nivea’s Sun Eau de Toilette continues to garner rave reviews from those who tried it. One satisfied customer exclaimed: “Absolutely love this and it’s just summer holidays in a bottle. It’s my everyday perfume now. It smells gorgeous and I get lots of compliments when I wear it. Total must for the summer.”

Another picky perfume lover was pleasantly surprised: “I’m very fussy with scent, and many of them smell awful when applied to my skin. However, I went by the other reviews, and I’m so pleased that I did. It doesn’t smell quite as I expected, but I think it’s lovely.”

They added: “A very summery-but-not-flowery scent. Not too overpowering. But warm and subtle. I can see myself buying this again.”

Yet not all feedback was glowing, one self-proclaimed ‘lifelong Nivea fan’ said: “I use the sun shower gel which is gorgeous and I loved this scent, it’s definitely one for summer days, stronger than sun tan lotion, unfortunately as I recently discovered as I only wear this occasionally the atomiser keeps sticking, leaving and wasting most of the scent on my hand.”

Another less enthused purchaser remarked: “I have to say I was excited at getting this perfume as I used to love the smell of Nivea oil when we went to the beach when I was a kid, but this did nothing for me at all.”

They continued, expressing their disappointment: “Maybe it just did not agree with my skin type, but I don’t like it, not even after letting it wear in a bit. It’s a shame, but I guess not every perfume suits every person.”

On a more positive note, another reviewer couldn’t contain their joy: “Love, love, love this. It smells like holidays. I highly recommend it. I don’t find the scent fades; I could still smell it at the end of the day.”
