Princess Catherine quietly reinforced her commitment to British fashion over the weekend when she was photographed wearing a bespoke camel-toned Burberry coat at the Beauty of the Earth exhibition in Winchester.  Similar styles can easily retail for upwards of £2,000, but you don’t need a royal budget to emulate her look.

For those keen to recreate the Princess’s wardrobe staple, New Look has a similar longline coat currently reduced to just £35 in the sale, saving £15. The high-street version mirrors Catherine’s royal style with its tailored cut, front flap pockets and warm camel shade. 

One subtle difference is the single-button fastening, rather than Catherine’s double-breasted design, but it still achieves that sleek, streamlined finish. The brushed texture adds a soft, premium feel. Available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20 and 22, it’s already proving popular, with the retailer warning that some sizes are already low in stock.

The cut and colour of the coat make this the kind of versatile piece that works season after season. But, unlike Catherine’s, which is certainly a major investment piece, the high-street version is much more affordable.
