Navy fighter jet and helicopter crash in separate South China Sea incidents

In separate incidents, two Navy aircraft crashed in the South China Sea on Sunday. A Sea Hawk helicopter went down while conducting what the Navy said was “routine operations.” About 30 minutes later, two crew members on board an F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter were forced to eject, also during routine operations. Everyone on board both aircraft were rescued safely.
