M&S shoppers get cosy jumpers by Bella Freud for £245 less

Marks & Spencer has teamed up once again with British designer Bella Freud, and the collection is already selling out. Top of many shoppers’ wishlists are the witty slogan jumpers, which are hundreds less than buying one from Freud’s own line.

Her iconic sweaters, worn by Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, and Laura Bailey, usually retail for around £375, but at M&S, shoppers can snap up a merino wool-blend jumper for £130.

Plus, her cashmere jumpers usually sell for £495, however, the M&S alternative is a relative steal at £140.

The merino wool jumpers (90% merino wool and 10% cashmere) are available in pink and burgandy with the ‘Wham Bam’ lettering, while the 100% cashmere versions come in light grey and brown with ‘Kind!’ on them, and black and green with ‘Dance’ emblazoned.

That’s not the only saving to be had. Prices in the new collection start from just £10 for accessories like nibble bowls and go up to £300 for a 100% recycled wool coat, which is a fraction of what you’d pay for Bella’s standalone line, where candles can cost £60 and tableware up to £50 per item.

“This year’s collection is based on the idea of entertaining at home,” says Bella. “You want to be a bit dressed up and feel glamorous, but you also want to feel at ease.” The result is a series of pieces that balance laid-back luxury with a retro edge — or as Bella calls it, “dressing down that’s dressed up.”

In addition to the cashmere and wool jumpers, there is a velvet tuxedo and silk shirts, all in a palette of navy, black and cream, grounded with autumnal browns and burgundies and flashes of pink and green. We think the collection feels grown-up yet playful and is perfect for layering through the colder months.

For 2025, the designer’s touch extends beyond fashion. The collection includes matching family pyjamas, cashmere socks, sleep masks, and even a dog jumper, all designed to bring a touch of Bella’s tongue-in-cheek glamour into everyday life.

The new homeware edit is also attracting attention with bold ceramic serveware, bedding sets, and small decorative pieces that add character to cosy interiors.

For alternative designer collaborations that include knitwear, shoppers could try John Lewis x Rejino Pyo or JW Anderson at Uniqlo
