People are always asking for gripping movie recommendations, with many directing viewers to Netflix, Disney Plus and more with their firm favourites. However, one person wanted to know what the biggest film fails are instead.

When someone asks you what the worst movie you’ve ever seen is, you’ve probably got something in mind immediately. Everyone has films they weren’t that fond of, and that’s okay – not everyone has the same taste. What one person adores, another will despise.

Now when one Reddit user went on the ‘Ask’ forum, they didn’t expect to hear about a film with 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

They asked film buffs: “What movie is a 0/10 with NO redeeming features?”

The top comment was a little-known movie called ‘United Passions,’ which really does have 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

They wrote: “United Passions. Has a well deserved 0% rating on RT. It’s a FIFA propaganda piece showing how courageous the poor, misunderstood executives of FIFA are. It was funded primarily by FIFA itself. It made something like $900 (£678) on its opening release weekend in the US.

“It came out at the same time the massive corruption scandals were being revealed about FIFA. Perfect timing. The stars and director have disavowed it. Tim Roth said he’s never seen it and only did it for the money.”

Someone replied: “Budget: US$32 million. Box Office: $168,132 I mean… Wow… That is something else.”

The film came out in 2015, and runs for an hour and 50 minutes. It’s a drama which tells the story of the origins and development of FIFA, the international governing body of football.

The movie focuses on the ambitions, challenges, and controversies faced by key figures in FIFA’s history, including its founders and later presidents such as Jules Rimet, João Havelange, and Sepp Blatter.

It depicts their efforts to promote football globally and to organise the first World Cup tournaments, while also touching on the political manoeuvring and ethical dilemmas within the organisation.

The film was largely financed by FIFA itself and released shortly before the organisation became embroiled in a major corruption scandal, which coloured its reception and led to widespread criticism for its perceived self-congratulatory tone.

In fact, someone referred to it as “unfathomably ghastly,” while another wrote: “This might be the most cringeworthy film in history.”

A third said it was “unwatchable” and a “waste of two hours” not even “worth one star”.

Other films that didn’t come across well to audiences were the 2019 version of Cats, the 2025 version of War of the Worlds, and The Emoji Movie.

What is one of the worst films you’ve ever watched? Let us know in the comments…
