Morrisons has introduced a new aisle in shops as part of a significant overhaul. Morrisons, which competes with Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Aldi and Lidl, has unveiled new sections at Liverpool’s Speke branch in an “exciting” partnership.

The supermarket has joined forces with Wilko for a new DIY aisle. The Liverpool branch is thought to be the first of over 20 planned locations to introduce the new aisle in 2026, The Grocer has reported. A Morrisons spokesperson said: “We are pleased to have launched our new Wilko’s concession in our Speke store, marking the start of an exciting new partnership.”

They continued: “We are looking forward to rolling this out to further stores later in the year.”

The Speke branch will stock a wide range of paint colours and finishes, including Tough and Washable emulsions created for high-traffic areas, One-Coat Gloss for swift decorating tasks and the Statement Walls products for shoppers wanting to update their homes with modern shades.

The in-store range includes decorating tools, household essentials and car care products, extending wilko’s practical home maintenance offer into the supermarket environment too, reports Birmingham Live.

It comes as Morrisons is expanding even further with the introduction of its brand-new Hot Cross Bun Loaf, an oversized variation on the Easter favourite that’s perfect for sharing.

Jack Nicholls, Market Street Development and Operations Manager at Morrisons, said: “The Hot Cross Bun is an Easter staple and a crowd pleaser for our customers.

“To super-size the traditional bake, we are introducing our Hot Cross Bun Loaf. A loaf that gives the classic bun a run for its money – bigger, juicier, and packed with even more flavour.

“Perfect for passing around, stealing sneaky slices and sharing with the whole family around the table.”

For those less keen on sharing, Morrisons also stocks an extensive range of classic Hot Cross Buns. Shoppers can go for a six pack of fruit Hot Cross Buns for £0.97 or treat themselves to The Best Hot Cross Buns for £1.50 per pack of four.
