Miley Cyrus Engaged to Partner of 4 Years, Maxx Morando
Fellow musician Morando has worked with Cyrus on her last two albums
Miley Cyrus no longer has to buy herself flowers. The Grammy winning singer and actress is engaged to her boyfriend of four years, musician Maxx Morando.
People confirmed the news following a Monday evening red carpet appearance by the couple. Cyrus flashed a ring in photographs with Morando while attending the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere. According to People, the “bespoke” ring was designed by jeweler Jacquie Aiche. It features a cushion-cut stone on a thick, 14-karat yellow gold band.
Neither Cyrus nor Morando have said anything publicly about their engagement. A rep for Cyrus did not immediately return Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.
Cyrus and Morando were first linked in 2021. She told British Vogue that they met on a blind date. Morando is currently the drummer of the band Lily. Cyrus featured the band in Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in 2022 and has since worked with Morando on songs from her last two albums, Endless Summer Vacation and Something Beautiful. She thanked Morando when she took home her Record of the Year Grammy Award for “Flowers” in 2024.
Cyrus was previously married to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth. She began dating Hemsworth in 2009 and the pair were engaged twice, first in 2013 and later in 2016. They married in 2017, separated in 2018, and their divorce was finalized in early 2020.
