Men’s electric razor with two-hour runtime now less than £30

Whether shoppers are still unsettled on the perfect gift for him this Christmas, or need a new electric shaver for themselves, they could look towards Amazon for handy deals on men’s toiletry upgrades. With over 3,000 bought in the past month and nearly 45,000 reviews, this electric razor is currently significantly discounted – for a limited time.

The SweetLF Electric Razor for Men, in dark blue, is currently priced at £26.57, down from £42.99, saving shoppers a handy 38%. It’s also available in a range of colours at varying discounts.

The brand says the razor’s innovative technology increases ‘shaving efficiency’ by ‘50%’. It’s IPX7 waterproof, too, so the SweetLF Electric Razor for Men can be used wet or dry and washed under running water for an easy clean.

It charges via USB-C and offers around 120 minutes of shaving time, estimated at 30 full shaves, with an hour of charge. The LED display keeps buyers up-to-date on the battery life, while the included USB-C cable and UK adapter makes charging from a laptop, wall or battery pack easy, even during travel. It also comes with a cleaning brush and head cover out of the box, as well as a 15 month warranty, with the brand offering a ‘replacement service’ when users ‘contact us at the first time’ of an issue.

Alternatively, shoppers could look at the Philips Series 3000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver S3243/12, currently priced at £59.99 down from £140 at Argos. With Philips’ 5D Pivot & Flex Heads and 27 self-sharpening PowerCut Blades, Argos says that ‘wet and dry use ensures excellent, reliable results every time.’

Perfect for buyers on the move, Debenhams’ compact ExtraStar Professional Travel Shaver USB Type-C Rechargeable is currently priced at £12.74 down from £32. Available in black or blue, with the blue at the slightly higher price of £14.24, it features a unique, compact design that ‘fits easily in your luggage’, according to Debenhams.

Buyers of the SweetLF Electric Razor for Men were surprised by the quality of shave offered, with one writing in their Amazon review: “Well this is a pleasant surprise, as I wasn’t expecting an electric shaver so competitively priced to be so good. My own more expensive brand shaver has been playing up and I was looking to replace it anyway, so I looked in the Amazon listings and decided to take a chance on a “cheaper” brand in the Prime Day bargains…

“I seem to have struck lucky. In fact this shaver has given me a closer shave and my old face feels as smooth as it has done for a very long time. Buy it and feel good.”

Another also found the razor to be a good replacement for a more expensive offering that was playing up. They said: “I was hoping this very cheap razor would be a good replacement for my old and much more expensive model. It has surpassed my expectations in terms of giving a good shave and so far, battery life and performance are excellent. All the features I would want are built into a smart looking body, great value for money.”

A third added: “Nice razor. Comfortable, works well, good price”

Not all shoppers felt the same however, and one found that the shave wasn’t as close as some pricier, higher end offerings. They said: “Nice looking shaver. If used properly, it can give a nice close shave. I found that very lightly pressing the shaver onto skin and taking a bit longer provides the best shave with no irritation. The shave is not as close as a top of the range Philips shaver, but then again it costs about 90% less. Easy to use and charge and brilliant value.”

Another found that it worked best with shaving foam as opposed to dry, they said: “Superb shaver but works best with shaving foam. I use Gillette foam. Easy to clean with running tap water.”
