Finding an electric shaver that catches every patch without irritation can feel like a never-ending search, but one affordable gadget is attracting rave reviews online. The DOAO Head Shaver for Men, available for £29.97 down from £39.99 on Amazon, has been praised by shoppers for delivering a close and even shave, with one buyer saying it is ‘precise enough not to miss any little bits’.

The upgraded shaver features six floating magnetic blades designed to glide more smoothly along the contours of the head for a faster, more even shave. The removable shaving head also makes cleaning and maintenance easier after use.

Built with an IPX7 waterproof rating, the shaver is suitable for both wet and dry use, allowing users to shave in the shower or rinse the device directly under running water. The ergonomic handle is intended to provide a more secure and comfortable grip during grooming.

The shaver also supports Type-C fast charging, with the brand claiming that two hours of charging can deliver up to 180 minutes of runtime. DOAO says the shaver is designed as both a practical self-care gadget and a useful gift for bald men, while also including a 365-day warranty and customer support.

Elsewhere on the market, Boots has the JML Maxilisse Head Shaver Grooming Tool up for grabs at £49.99. This one has five floating blades that can glide over curves and contours of the head, and it is said to be perfect for men who want a fast, precise shave.

On Argos, there is the Philips Head Pro Head Shaver at a higher cost of £100. Suitable for both wet and dry use, this one has three heads and stainless steel blades.

The DOAO Head Shaver for Men has a variety of five-star reviews from more than 2,000 shoppers. One person wrote: “I am really impressed with this head shaver. It is a very little device that is comfortable to use, it is fairly quiet and doesn’t produce a loud sound. It gives a good close shave, which is exactly what I am after, and is precise enough not to miss any little bits. The battery lasts long enough to shave a few times between charging and it doesn’t take long to fully charge either.”

Another added: “I have had this for five weeks now and it is amazing. It was fully charged when it arrived and I use it every two days. So I’ve used it 90 times and it still has 41% battery left. Brilliant value for money and gives an excellent close shave. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this shaver.”

A third person commented: “Smooth, no pulling, easy to use, very quick and clean. Much better than my previous one.”

A handful of others gave four stars, for example this person said: “Okay shaver but not as comfortable in the hand as the SweetLF that it replaced. The shaving area is also slightly smaller. I will keep it.”

Another added: “These blades do the job, though for the length of time they last, they are quite expensive. However, they are safer than using a wet razor.”

The DOAO Head Shaver for Men is available from Amazon.
