Meghan shared a black-and-white video of herself dancing with Prince Harry, alongside a throwback-style photograph that appears to have been taken in Botswana – a place the couple frequently reference as deeply meaningful to their relationship.

The caption read: “When 2026 feels just like 2016…. you had to be there.” That wording wasn’t casual. It deliberately anchored her current brand to a time when she enjoyed peak popularity, glowing coverage and complete control of the narrative.

This wasn’t about sentimentality or looking back fondly – it was a calculated throwback designed to spark engagement and pull focus back onto her.

The black-and-white filter, the dancing, and the intimacy felt carefully resurrected to spark engagement and conversation. Meghan knows exactly how to play the algorithm, and this latest post was designed to travel far beyond her followers.

But what struck me most was how her children are now being quietly woven into her social media strategy.

Earlier this week, Meghan shared images from a family trip to the zoo, with Archie taking centre stage as he fed rhino’s and explored the space. While their faces were hidden and angles tightly controlled, the storytelling was unmistakable. Family content sells, and Meghan knows it.

For years, she has insisted on fiercely protecting her children’s privacy, yet their presence online is becoming increasingly frequent and prominent. You can obscure faces while still placing children at the heart of a narrative.

In my view, it is only a matter of time before that protection loosens further and the children are brought more fully into the public eye. Meghan would no doubt market it as a natural progression, pointing to her own beginnings in acting as proof that the path is organic rather than orchestrated.

Framed that way, any move into entertainment would be presented not as exposure, but as an inevitable next step shaped by the world they have grown up in.

Harry’s role has also evolved. He is now a regular fixture on Meghan’s social media, appearing in candid-style images and always referred to pointedly as “my husband.”

From holiday snaps to posts marking his military background on Armed Forces Day, the Prince has become an active element of her personal brand rather than a background presence.

All of this sits awkwardly alongside the Sussexes’ original promise of privacy. Instead, what we are seeing is calculated visibility – nostalgia-driven posts, carefully framed family moments and a husband repositioned as part of the narrative. Meghan’s latest move doesn’t suggest a retreat from attention. It proves, once again, that she is chasing it.
