Medik8’s £27 anti-ageing cream ‘incredible’ for ‘smoothing out lines’
Mature shoppers are praising a cream from Medik8, saying it is a ‘total game changer for smoothing out fine lines’. The product in question is the Advanced Pro-Collagen+ Peptide Cream, which comes in various sizes.
Prices start from £27 for a 12.5ml travel size, but there’s also the 50ml jar for £79 and the 50ml refill for £74. The brand claims the cream helps increase collagen production by 45% and promotes ‘optimal skin longevity’.
The brand says it has been expertly formulated with advanced actives that help stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to support visible firmness, elasticity and reduce deep-set wrinkles. It is also said to deliver fast-acting, clinically proven results in seven days while helping to prevent the appearance of future signs of skin ageing.
The site says the formula blends next-generation GF MiniProtein, NAD+ Longevity Booster, and Anti-A.G.E. Peptide to help visibly restore the skin’s structure for a ‘visibly youthful, lifted and sculpted appearance’. To use it, beauty fans should apply the cream evenly across the face, neck and décolletage, using light upward strokes, after cleansing in the morning and evening.
As an alternative product, shoppers could snap up this No7 Future Renew Day Cream SPF40 (50ml) from Boots for £37.95. It is said to contain an exclusive blend of peptides, along with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and niacinamide. It claims to reverse the visible signs of skin damage and support the skin’s natural self-repair, according to the site.
Or at LookFantastic, there’s the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 (50ml) for £78.40, down from £98. It is described as a nourishing face cream that combines SPF protection with long-lasting hydration. The site says it’s a multi-purpose formula that hydrates and smooths the look of fine lines, while defending against environmental aggressors.
The Advanced Pro-Collagen+ Peptide Cream from Medik8 has received an average overall rating of 4.9 out of five stars from more than 1,400 reviews. One five-star reviewer said: “This cream makes my skin feel incredibly firm and hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s a total game changer for smoothing out fine lines and giving my face a healthy, lifted look.”
A second said: “I love this cream, it definitely makes my skin much smoother. This is my second jar and (it’s) great that I can now get the environment friendly refill pots.”
A third person added: “Excellent products. Hydration is superlative and also wrinkles are minimised.”
Others deducted stars, however, with one shopper writing: “It’s really hard to know if I’ve seen any benefits from this product as I use so many other Medik8 products in my skincare regime.” Another said: “Would give it a five star but the product comes in a pot which is impractical – really like Medik8 though.”
