‘Masterpiece’ movie that’s the ‘greatest film ever made’ is on Amazon Prime | Films | Entertainment
You can’t go wrong with watching this hit film. If you haven’t already seen it, or even if you have, it’s one you’ll likely be keen to watch again. Only The Best Movies says Jurassic Park is the “greatest movie ever made” and it’s unsurprising to see the cult film be given this title.
The film was first released in 1993 and has since retained its popularity. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film had groundbreaking special effects and captivated its audiences. The film tells the story of a wealthy entrepreneur who creates a theme park filled with cloned dinosaurs on a remote island.
When the park’s security systems fail, the dinosaurs escape, putting the visitors and staff in deadly danger. Chaos ensues as they struggle to survive and find a way off the island.
Collider says: “Jurassic Park is the ultimate dinosaur movie. The idea that humanity brought these beasts back from extinction and then lost control was genius.
“The T. rex scene in the rain is legendary, and the raptors stalking through the kitchen still make me lean forward every time I rewatch it. Even after all these years, the effects hold up, and the dinosaurs feel real.”
It adds: “It’s a masterpiece that hasn’t been topped by its sequels.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an impressive score of 91%. One person who watched the film said: “Simply magical. It incarnates the magic of the cinema, probably the best movie I’ve ever seen in my whole life.
“I could watch it 20 times and not get bored. Great story, great animation for the time it was made and full of iconic scenes. I recommend watching it.”
The film is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
