From crisping frozen food and cooking meat and fish to reheating leftovers and even baking cakes, air fryers have established themselves as the must-have kitchen appliance across Britain in recent years. They offer a faster, more convenient, and generally more economical method of cooking compared with a conventional oven.

While there are innumerable brands and models of air fryers on the market, each boasting their own particular advantages and drawbacks, one of the most recognisable names is undoubtedly Ninja. Widely acknowledged for popularising the dual-drawer design and innovations such as independent cooking zones and synchronised finish times, Ninja air fryers remain a popular option for those considering an investment.

However, shoppers seeking the functionality and aesthetic of a Ninja appliance at a reduced price could save £100 by making the most of Lidl’s current promotion. From Sunday, August 2, customers will be able to purchase the Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer for just £49.99.

The air fryer, which bears similarities to the Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer (£149.99), boasts four pre-programmed settings (air fry, roast, re-fry and keep warm) alongside heat-resistant glass containers, enabling users to prepare and store food without requiring transfer to separate vessels.

The appliance includes two glass containers: 2L and 4L, accommodating a maximum of 250g and 650g of chips, respectively. The containers are dishwasher-safe, and feature leak-proof lids.

According to the product description, the air fryer enables you to prepare everything from “single portions” to “multiple portions or even a whole chicken”.

The Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer will be available in the middle aisle from Sunday among a range of other kitchen appliances. Bear in mind, though, that the middle aisle functions on a “when it’s gone, it’s gone” principle, meaning stock availability cannot be guaranteed.

Here is a full list of everything coming in the Kitchen and Household event, available in stores from Sunday, August 2. You can also find more details about the items here:
