Lana Del Rey Reveals Release Date for New ‘Stove’ Single
Lana Del Rey revealed Saturday that the next single off her upcoming album might arrive in less than two weeks.
In an Instagram Story, the singer told fans, “I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single and my favorite song [on the new album] — this is the one I’ve been waiting for — ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ is coming out on the 17th.” (Del Rey did not specify which month, but presumably February.)
Del Rey added that she was “really happy” about the new single, which she worked on with producers Drew Erickson and Jack Antonoff, who “finally found that magical chord that was missing.” Del Rey also said that the track was co-written in part with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, her brother-in-law, and her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant. “There’s just so many bits and phrases thrown in by other people.”
“We made the video like just ourselves, but still, still, it takes hours and hours of editing and downloading and uploading and all that,” she added.
As for her upcoming country-inspired 10th studio album, reportedly now titled Stove, Del Rey said, “I know, you’re asking about the record. But honestly, soon. ‘Cause vinyl takes three months, so three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take a bit less than that.”
“White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” if it comes out in 10 days, arrives 10 months after the album’s first single “Henry, Come On,” which was released in April 2025 when the upcoming LP was still titled The Right Person Will Stay (and before that, Lasso). The album was scheduled for a May 21, 2025 release, but Del Rey ultimately postponed it, changed the title to Stove, and went back into the studio.
“[The songs] were more autobiographical than I thought, and that took more time,” Del Rey said in an October 2025 interview where she revealed the album would be pushed to 2026.
“The majority of the album will have a country flair. Eight years ago, when I was looking to make a country record, no one else was thinking about country. Now everyone is going country! I’ve asked myself, Should I retire all my snakeskin boots? Should I put my cowboy hats in storage?”
