Keep white bedsheets from yellowing – repeat this routine every two to three months

If you’re dealing with whites, particularly bedsheets, that are yellowing before their time, you don’t need to throw them out. There’s a way to make them gleam again.

Tiffany, who often posts home, cleaning, and lifestyle content to her TikTok account has shared the way she likes to keep her sheets pristine.

In an upload to the social media platform, she said: “I’ve had white bedsheets for years because honestly, it’s much easier to look after them than colorful sheets.

“You can basically mix and match any of them from any set because they’re all white.

“However I hate the look of yellowing sheets, it’s just not the vibe we’re looking for.

People left comments on the helpful Instagram video. Loads shared their own garment whitening routines.

One person said: “Cup of bicarb in dispenser and a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid on a cloth in the drum. A tablespoon cornstarch in rinse dispenser. Snow white.”

Another person chimed in: “Bluing liquid/powder too.”

“Add a little dawn blue dish soap it makes them crispy white!” someone else said.

And an additional person said: “I have never bleached my sheets and never had an issue with yellowing. If you can, try hanging them in the sun, it naturally lightens them!”
