Whether she’s undertaking royal engagements, dressed to the nines for an awards ceremony or casually walking with her children, Kate Middleton consistently appears immaculate – with a complexion to match. To help achieve this radiant base, the Princess of Wales is reportedly a devotee of premium beauty brand Rodial (according to HELLO! magazine), whose anti-ageing formulations have left customers astonished by the results. And shoppers can now secure her rumoured preferred moisturiser for £41 – rather than its typical eye-watering £750 price tag.

Like numerous popular retailers, the brand has just unveiled its summer sale with some of its bestselling products, kits and formulations drastically reduced – including the 24 Carat Bee Venom Kit, which features the renowned Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème (reportedly amongst Kate’s favoured moisturisers). Now £125, it’s had 84 percent slashed from its original price of £805.

The kit comprises two products alongside the royal-approved crème – a Bee Venom Hydrogel Face Mask and Bee Venom Eye Cream Mini, reports the Mirror.

With each product priced at £20 and £35 respectively, this brings the cream’s value in this bundle down to £70 – which, given its standalone cost, is rather impressive.

As the name of this collection indicates, the star ingredient in this trio is bee venom. The brand explains: “Ethically derived Melittin peptides from bee venom work synergistically with our innovative ingredients to smooth, firm, and plump your skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance.”

The highly popular Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème also contains BIO‐PROTEINOL, a ‘patented extract from bovine (cow) placenta’.

This component not only enables a more breathable formulation, but it assists skin in remaining hydrated, while boosting the absorption of other active ingredients. For those wishing to buy the creme separately, it’s also reduced from £750 to £115.

Given these components, it’s clear the Rodial set is neither vegetarian nor vegan friendly, so for an alternative meeting those requirements, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream is a reliable option. It is created without any animal-derived components and is certified as a vegan-friendly product within the Charlotte Tilbury skincare range. Priced at £79, the cream features waterlocking technology, niacinamide, biopeptide complex, and delivers skin with a dewy, glass-like, fresh water radiance.

The Rodial creme also arrives enriched with amino acids, vitamins B and E, and minerals to maintain overall skin equilibrium. As for the Hydrogel Face Mask, it’s created to revitalise lacklustre, fatigued-looking skin with an immediate cooling effect.

Plumping and smoothing components such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and red algae contribute to leaving the complexion appearing fresher, brighter and revitalised. Meanwhile its ethically sourced bee venom melittin peptides help to visibly lift and smooth the skin.

Formulated with bee venom, haloxyl, vitamin C and P-Cell, the brand’s Bee Venom Eye Cream Mini is said to be a standout product for smoothing under-eye wrinkles, reducing dark circles and, much like its companions in the set, tightening the skin.

Alternatively, Medik8’s Eyelift Peptides Age-Defying Firming Gel, £45, is an excellent choice for those seeking something that will diminish fine lines around the eyes – and considerably more wallet-friendly at full size. It boasts a ‘unique complex of 5 age-defying peptides to visibly tackle all signs of ageing around the eyes’.

As a trio, this collection combines the brand’s beloved bestselling moisturiser with the instantly revitalising Bee Venom Hydrogel Face Mask and Bee Venom Eye Cream Deluxe. Working in unison, the three products together intensely nourish, refine and noticeably firm the skin, reportedly leaving the complexion appearing fuller, more luminous and wonderfully rejuvenated.

While the kit itself hasn’t garnered an extensive number of reviews – it has received one five-star rating which read: “I have been using these products for years – fabulous!”

Devotees of the crème alone have shared enthusiastic testimonials regarding its effects. One remarked: “Great texture – lots of compliments since starting to use two months ago. A little pricey but wait until it’s on offer.”

Someone else noted: “So, I’ve only been using it for four days and nights. But today at work a colleague who’s been on mat leave was in the office and greeted me with ‘how have I been away for a year but you look years younger’. I’ll take that!”

Another remarked: “The best cream I’ve ever used! Certainly taken a few years off my 57-year-old face.”

Alongside its typically hefty price point, one downside some customers encountered was that the fragrance wasn’t quite as appealing as the results. One two-star review stated: “Don’t like the smell and looks quite cheap for this cream with luxury ingredient.”

Regarding the face mask, numerous users highlighted how it ‘left my skin like glass’, with one customer writing: “The most incredible face mask I’ve ever used. Instant results. Pore minimized, skin felt tight and bright and my skin looked noticeable different immediately and I could see results for days afterwards. I’m obsessed.”

Another concurred: “This mask makes my skin look younger and I feel so refreshed.”

This trio isn’t the only range reduced on the Rodial website. Beyond its dedicated ‘Outlet’ section offering various discounts for shoppers, beauty enthusiasts can also use the code SUMMER30 to receive 30 percent off selected products — though it’s worth noting this unfortunately excludes the Salmon DNA Water Oil, Kits and Outlet items.

For instance, the sought-after Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel can be purchased for £66.50, reduced from £95, by entering the code at the checkout. This top-selling weightless gel is crafted with a combination of active ingredients including Collageneer, VolufilineTM and glycerin to enhance elasticity and collagen production, firmness and hydration levels.

The so-called dragon’s blood complex works to hydrate, plump and firm the complexion while delivering healing and anti-inflammatory benefits. In a clinical trial involving 25 participants who used the gel over 89 days, 80 percent noticed smoother skin, while 92 percent experienced firmer skin – with 72 percent observing a reduction in sagging.

For those who love makeup, the brand’s much-adored Banana Lowlighter is now available for £26.60 with the code, reduced from £38. Promising a ‘lit-from-within glow’, this product is an innovative ‘all-in-one colour corrector, complexion enhancer, and sheer but buildable, skin-like concealer’.

Its cream-based formula incorporates soft yellow undertones that assist in concealing imperfections, while diminishing the appearance of dark circles beneath the eyes – and, naturally, illuminating the face’s high points.

While numerous reviews highlight how the lowlighter’s price tag is off-putting, at its sale price it represents a somewhat more palatable investment. For shoppers who have noticed genuine improvements, it’s well worth considering – as one five-star review read: “Banana low lighter conceals age spots and blemishes and makes skin glow and natural looking.”
