Jurassic World Rebirth trailer thrills as Scarlett Johansson takes on dinosaurs | Films | Entertainment
It’s been three years since the end of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Jurassic World trilogy.
Despite bringing back Jurassic Park trilogy legacy stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic World Dominion was poorly received with just 29 per cent positive reviews.
Nevertheless, dinosaurs proved as popular as ever, and the movie made over $1 billion worldwide.
It was a no-brainer then for Universal to reboot the reboot with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali in a sequel helmed by Rogue One’s Gareth Edwards in the director’s chair.
The first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth has landed and takes our heroes back to the island yet again. Except this time it’s a different dinosaur island that was the research facility for the original Jurassic Park.
The official synopsis reads: “Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”
Jurassic World Rebirth hits UK cinemas on July 2, 2025.
