Julien Baker Announces Surprise Show at Nashville’s Third Man Records
Baker’s last solo album, Little Oblivions, arrived in 2021
Julien Baker has announced a pop-up show in Nashville for Wednesday at Jack White’s Third Man Records.
Baker posted the news of the show, held in the Blue Room, to her Instagram. It follows her set at Almanac Pond Farm in Nantucket, MA last month, and the cameo she made during Lucy Dacus’ set at Outside Lands (they duetted on “Bullseye”).
Prior to that, Baker has been relatively quiet since her explosive breakout with her supergroup boygenius, alongside Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers. In 2023, they appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone, released their full-length debut The Record, went on a massive tour, performed on SNL, and were nominated for six Grammys (they won three). Following a secret acoustic show in 2024, the boys went on hiatus. Since then, Dacus released the 2025 solo album Forever Is a Feeling, while Bridgers recently returned with Lost Weekend.
Meanwhile, Baker went on a solo tour in 2024, then teamed up with Torres for the country album Send a Prayer My Way. They briefly went on tour before cancelling the remainder of their shows in May 2025, explaining that Baker was “prioritizing her well-being and taking time to focus on her health.” It’s been five years since she released a solo album, after 2021’s Little Oblivions. With the Blue Room announcement, hopefully a new era is incoming.
Tonight’s show also features special guest Kate Teague. Tickets go on sale today at noon E.T., via Third Man’s website.
