John Lewis dress with pockets praised as it works in any weather

John Lewis shoppers have found a ‘comfortable, practical and beautiful’ dress that is proving an ideal ‘throw-on’ option when you don’t know what to wear. The £48 long sleeved midi dress comes in sizes six to 20 and is adorned with a pretty leaf print. 

It can be styled with all kinds of accessories, from sandals to pumps, and while the long sleeves should keep a chill out on breezier days, it wouldn’t look out of place worn with a jacket. 

The v-neckline is a flattering option and the John Lewis Solare Print Midi Dress even comes with deep pockets, so you can quickly pop it on without wearing a bag and still carry some everday essentials on you. 

Coming in at under £50, it could be a new staple wear in your wardrobe as it can be worn in the UK or taken on holiday. The gorgeous print would look lovely on the beach, at barbecues, or for pottering around the house.

A second wrote: “Kind of the perfect spring dress – a loose, flowing lightweight fabric with a beautiful leaf print. No fastenings, just pull-on, has pockets, perfect length, nice wide skirt, long sleeves for those days when it isn’t really all that warm, but can be pulled up when it is.”
