The Jonas Brother will release his second solo LP, Music for People Who Believe in Love, in May

Joe Jonas has dropped a new solo single, “Heart by Heart.” The forlorn acoustic number is the latest track to be released off his forthcoming LP, Music for People Who Believe in Love, out May 23 via Republic Records.

The song was co-written with Lewis Capaldi, Savan, Oscar Holter, and Max Gsus. It sees Jonas reflecting on a love lost over a shimmering backdrop of acoustic guitar and keys: “Well if he don’t ever light your spark, remember I know your heart by heart/ Just remember I will always remember.”

Jonas previously shared singles “Work It Out” and “What This Could Be.” He was originally scheduled to release Music for People Who Believe in Love on Oct. 18, but delayed the album to ensure it felt complete. “The album is gonna come out later now because I’m flooded with inspo and want to add some final touches,” he noted on Instagram.

Music for People Who Believe in Love marks Jonas’ second solo album, following his 2011 effort Fastlife. After that album, Jonas founded the band DNCE, which released a self-titled debut in 2016. The Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019 and have since released two records, 2019’s Happiness Begins and last year’s The Album.

It’s setting out to be a busy year for Jonas. Last month, the Jonas Brothers released the video for “Love Me to Heaven,” the group’s newest single. The group will embark on their upcoming 20th anniversary Living the Dream tour, a stretch of 10 stadium shows followed by an extensive arena run in cities across North America.

The band is also set to release their seventh album, Greetings from Your Hometown, on Aug. 8, in time for the band’s big 20-year celebration, as well as a live LP.
