The Grammy-nominated singer equipped massage therapists with her own line of CBD lotions and elixirs to provide some relief to frontline workers

Jhené Aiko and her wellness brand Jhenetics sponsored free massages for frontline workers of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Partnering with massage therapists from Manly Handz mobile spa, the singer provided products from her lines of CBD lotions, balms, and elixirs for them to utilize in temporarily relieving stress and muscle pain in the LAFD members stationed at a base near Pacific Coast Highway. Aiko herself lost her home in the Palisades fire earlier this month. According to a press release, Jhenetics plans to continue serving those affected by the L.A. fires at more frontline posts, as well as donation centers, shelters, and more.

In an August interview, Aiko told Rolling Stone holistic wellness is the goal of Jhenetics, which she says aligns with her goals as a musician. “For me, it is all one and the same,” she said. “It’s just offering a sense of support, healing, a sense of hope, a sense of well-being through everything that I am. I’m in a space right now where everything that I do, I want to be intentional and purposeful. I’m the type of person [who] tries every type of skincare, every type of aromatherapy, every type of hair care, every type of anything that has to do with feeling my best, most balanced, most whole, most well self.”

Catastrophic fires have raged in the Los Angeles area for more than two weeks, burning nearly 40,000 acres in Los Angeles County. According to NBC News, the fires have killed at least 27 people and there have been close to 200,000 people under evacuation orders. Other celebrities have stepped in to provide relief as well. In lieu of a previously teased announcement set for Jan. 14, Beyoncé postponed it and shared that her charity foundation BeyGOOD has donated $2.5 million to support families and community organizations on the front line of the fire’s reach and relief efforts. She is one of many celebrities lending a hand, including rapper the Game, who has brought needed supplies to firefighters and animal shelters. Jimmy Kimmel Live was forced to halt tapings, the show opened a fire resource donation center on its Hollywood backlot.
