J Balvin and Ryan Castro Team Up in ‘Pal Agua’: Watch Video
The track marks the second collaboration from the Colombian hitmakers this year
J Balvin and Ryan Castro are on a roll. The two Colombian hitmakers have delivered yet another summer-ready track this year with “Pal Agua,” conjuring up the shores of their shared homeland with the song’s tropic-tinged beats.
Balvin delivers the sunny chorus as he sings, “Pal agua que está haciendo calor/Mi amor/Tu piel está pidiéndote sol,” which translates to,” Let’s head for the water, it’s getting hot/My love/Your skin is craving the sun.” Meanwhile, Castro delivers the verses with his gritty flow.
Both musicians celebrated the songs on their Instagram profiles. “Total banger! We made it with love for all of you,” Balvin wrote on his Instagram story.
“This is a massive tune, and we’re going to turn up the heat today. I’ll repost anyone who tags me with this banger. So let’s catch the vibe today,” Castro said on his own story.
The pair has also shared a cinematic video for “Pal Agua.” While scenes of riding on yachts, drinking beachside, and driving through Colombia’s mountains fit the song’s summer vibe, there also seems to be a larger story at hand as Balvin and Castro play gangsters on the run. The story appears to connect to the music video for their previous collaboration “Tonto,” which they shared last month. Both visuals feature cartoon characters à la Who Framed Roger Rabbit and incorporate QR codes with the same symbol into the story.
Recently, Balvin and Castro have stayed in each other’s orbit. They performed “Tonto” at Premio lo Nuestro 2026, both attended the 2026 Super Bowl, and they walked the red carpet together at the 2026 Grammys. What could the reggaeton duo be up to next?
