‘Hydrating’ eye masks that ‘reduce deep lines’ are on sale at Amazon

Tired eyes and puffy bags are signs of ageing that many skincare lovers try to tackle. Thankfully, wellness brand ESPA has recently launched an eye gel mask aiming to recharge skin around the eyes – and they boast plenty of anti-ageing benefits.

The ESPA Isotonic Hydra Gel Eye Masks, now 24% off on Amazon, are reduced to £34.96. Each pack has 30 pairs of masks, which works out at £1.16 per treatment. This product offers a fast and convenient solution for refreshing th eyes after excessive screen time, jet lag and late nights.

They are formulated with 98% natural ingredients including Snow Mushrooms, which are rich in polysaccharides to protect and leave the skin feeling hydrated and looking radiant, and vegetable taurine to improve skin hydration and reduce the appearance of fatigued skin. 

Spirulina Platensis Extract, which contains antioxidant properties, is used to improve the feeling of skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of dehydration lines. The blue-coloured eye masks are designed to deliver an instant pick-me-up for tired eyes. A quick 10-20 minute treatment left 97% of shoppers finding the eye area feeling “instantly hydrated”, while 94% of them said the eye mask “left fine dehydration lines around eyes appearing softened”. 

Other than ESPA, shoppers can find similar eye gel masks from other brands including Rodial’s Bee Venom Jelly Eye Patches, priced £20.99 for four pairs on Amazon and Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks are available at Boots for £52. 

The ESPA product features a pair of plastic tweezers for hygienic application. These fast-acting patches deliver ‘a surge of nutrient-rich super serum’, one customer shared: “It absorbs easily without tackiness. I’m convinced they reduced the deeper lines under my eyes which just means, I’m going to have to keep buying it.”

Another gave thumbs up after trying the eye patches, adding: “My skin felt nicely hydrated and looked fresh. At my age I need all the help I can get.”

Some mentioned it’s best to lie down while wearing the eye masks as they tend to slip down the face. But another shopper said: “I haven’t noticed any other visible differences but I would use again for the hydrating benefits as I do suffer from dry skin.”
