Hugh Jackman stars as Old Robin Hood in violent new thriller’s trailer | Films | Entertainment
Having played Old Man Logan and killed off Wolverine almost a decade ago, Hugh Jackman is now doing the same with an English legend.
The Aussie stars in the titular role of violent new thriller The Death of Robin Hood, opposite Jodie Comer and Bill Skarsgård as Little John.
Based on the Early Modern Ballad Robin Hood’s Death, the A24 film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, who helmed Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One.
An official synopsis reads: “Robin Hood grapples with his past life of crime and murder while in the hands of a mysterious woman after being critically injured.”
The first trailer appears to tease that the myth of Robin Hood is not quite what really happened to this aged vigilante in his younger days.
The Death of Robin will release in cinemas later this year.
