Households told to stop eating dessert ‘immediately’
This is due to the product being labelled with the incorrect use-by-dates. This mislabelling makes the products “unsafe to eat”. The FSA risk statement read: “The products listed above have been labelled with incorrect use by dates which makes them unsafe to consume.”
The FSA explained that the recall only affects chilled products sold in Booths stores.
The products affected by the recall include:
- Supper Club Apple Crumble (chilled) – batch code 02726 – use by 06 February 2027
- Supper Club Rhubarb Crumble (chilled) – batch code 02726 – use by 06 February 2027
Customers who have purchased the affected products have been told to “immediately stop using this product” and to dispose of them. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.
These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. If customers have purchased the affected products, they can be returned to the Booths store it was bought from for a full refund.

It comes as supermarket chain Farmfoods has announced a product recall of a popular snack, after allergens were not highlighted on the label.
It revealed that the Ritz Cheese Sandwich is the product in question, explaining that it contains milk, soya and wheat (gluten), but that these allergens were “not emphasised” on the product’s label.
The FSA shared that the recall is specific to England and Wales. The announcement was made on Thursday, February 12, with customers being urged not to eat the product if they have purchased the item.
