Calling all Harry Potter fans books, Audible has recently dropped the brand-new full-cast audiobooks to stream. And there’s a way to get them for free in a massive Audible deal.

New Audible subscribers who sign up, here, before July 15 get the first three months completely free. This also grants users one free audiobook per month alongside access to a massive catalog. Even better, signing up before July 11 bags an extra £10 Audible credit.

The trial automatically renews at £5.99 a month afterward, but cancellation is possible at any time. It’s the perfect excuse to dive back into Hogwarts with the new full-cast versions everyone is obsessing over.

Boasting immersive sound design, music and a full ensemble cast, the productions bring the hit wizarding world to life – giving fans of the franchise a new way to enjoy the book series ahead of the forthcoming Harry Potter television adaptation. Amongst the most sought-after releases are Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (book 1) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book 7).

The Philosopher’s Stone chronicles Harry’s discovery that he is a wizard before diving into the magical world in his first year at Hogwarts. Meanwhile Deathly Hallows sees Harry, Ron and Hermione undertake their ultimate quest to vanquish Voldemort once and for all.

For devotees of Harry Potter who have been contemplating giving Audible a go, the three-month promotional offer is a cost-free opportunity to rediscover the series or sample the new full-cast productions for the first time.

For those who’d rather not commit to Audible, Spotify users can benefit from the streaming platform’s extensive selection of audiobooks. Spotify provides 15 hours of audiobook listening time each month with the premium package, which is likely enough for one book.

New subscribers can access the premium membership for free for three months, before it reverts to £12.99 monthly thereafter.

Apple Books similarly features an array of audiobooks spanning from non-fiction titles such as Mel Robbins’ ‘The Let Them Theory’, through to Andrea Mara’s gripping psychological thriller ‘Such A Nice Girl’. Individual titles start from £4.99.

Although Audible has a strong following with many people turning to it for their bookish fix. Harry Potter fans have heaped praise on the Harry Potter audiobooks, with one admirer of Philosopher’s Stone sharing as part of a wider review: “This isn’t just an audio ‘book’ – it’s an experience… truly unique and immersive, like them or not Amazon have smashed it with this production (along with the great voice acting).”

Another added: “Loving everything about this audiobook, the voice actors, the music, the background noise, all fantastic. Use headphones for the best experience.”

The Deathly Hallows has similarly accrued widespread acclaim, with one reviewer commenting: “Absolutely loved these full cast versions of Harry Potter. The cast were brilliant and the music and sound effects just brought the whole series to life. I wish I could find a better description, but they really are just magical!”

That said, certain listeners deducted a star from their ratings, with one reviewer noting in a lengthier critique: “Hermione’s voice is very grating. I’m genuinely sorry to give this feedback but it stood out for me and unfortunately distracted me from the storytelling. Whenever Hermione was angry, distressed, or fuming the actor was just too over the top for my liking.”

Another dissatisfied listener commented: “Unfortunately the delivery of Harry’s part was hugely disappointing. Felt as though each line was delivered through gritted teeth, and not with genuine feeling. Otherwise, the tale and delivery were as spellbinding as ever.”

Nevertheless, the overwhelming majority of listeners were full of praise, with one enthusiastic reviewer declaring: “Just everything about all 7 of these audiobooks is amazing!

“The original audiobook, read by Stephen Fry, is still amazing but this full cast edition adds so much more to the experience than just one person could ever do. The positional audio, the echoing of footsteps in the halls of Hogwarts, the sound effects! It’s like you are placed smack dab in the middle of every scene and it’s almost like you are actually there, experiencing the story first hand.”

Book fans can take advantage of the limited-time Audible offer until 15th July.
