Gigi Perez Brings an Intimate Encore Performance to NYFW

On September 14, during New York Fashion Week, a select group of Gap Inc.’s Encore members and cardmembers who RSVP will enjoy an intimate performance by singer-songwriter Gigi Perez at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre in Greenwich Village. Encore After Hours, powered by Rolling Stone, will bring Fashiontainment to life through an exclusive evening of fashion, music, and culture. Gap Inc. executive VP & Creative Director Zac Posen will kick things off with remarks before Perez joins Rolling Stone’s Julyssa Lopez for a conversation on the relationship between music and fashion, followed by a live performance. 

Since being discovered on TikTok and SoundCloud circa 2020, Perez has been on a meteoric rise, attracting listeners with her gutsy and vulnerable lyricism and stripped-down acoustic accompaniment. Following the 2021 SoundCloud release of songs “Sometimes (Blackwood)” and “Celine,” the latter a heart-rendering exploration of grief inspired by the loss of her sister a year prior, she was signed by Interscope Records and has spent the past several years recording and on tour, supporting Coldplay, Noah Cyrus, and Noah Kahan. Her music has found particular resonance within the LGBTQ community; her charting single, “Sailor Song,” has been dubbed a sapphic anthem and encapsulation of queer yearning, further entrenching Perez’s place as a masterfully brave lyricist.

Perez released her first studio LP—At the Beach in Every Life—in 2025 and made her Coachella debut to a legion of fans this past spring. Her tour continues into the fall with both solo dates and as a supporting act for Kahan, performing in venues and arenas to tens of thousands of people. Encore After Hours, powered by Rolling Stone, offers Encore members the rare opportunity to see Perez—one of the music industry’s fastest-rising performers—up close and personal at the 150-seat theater. 

In addition to the concert and conversation, a smaller group of 50 Encore cardholders will have access to pre-event cocktails at Wild Cherry, the new and highly touted restaurant and bar inside the Cherry Lane lobby, hosted by Posen. Posen is a defining voice in American fashion with a career spanning more than two decades across design, culture and entertainment.
