Get £40 off ‘easy to use’ Smeg coffee machine

If you are looking to improve the quality of the brews you make in the comfort of your own home, you may be thinking about purchasing a coffee machine. Smeg is a popular brand adored for its kitchen appliances, and you can now get your hands on its beloved filter coffee machine for less.

New shopping marketplace Yimbly (which is owned by the Daily Express parent company Reach) is currently offering the Smeg Dcf02 Drip Filter Coffee Machine for one of the cheapest prices around. For a limited time, you can snap up the gadget for £159.95, down from £199.99, giving you a lovely £40 saving.

This price is 20p more than Amazon’s current offer, however Yimbly offers free delivery to everybody. If you’re not a Prime member, you may need to pay extra for delivery on some items.

The Smeg coffee machine comes in several colours, but it is the stylish white and black colourways that are currently on offer. The brand says the retro-style kitchen appliance allows you to ‘experience the perfect cup of coffee with every brew’. 

The coffee machine features an aroma intensity selector which allows you to tailor the flavour to your preference, while the keep warm function maintains the coffee temperature for up to 40 minutes. The gadget has a handy four cups function to brew a cuppa for your whole household or small gatherings, but you can also make up to 10 cups of coffee at once in the glass carafe when you have friends or family round.

The sleek machine has a digital LED display plus a clock and a timer with an auto start function for convenience. There is currently only one review on Yimby for the Smeg Dcf02 Drip Filter Coffee Machine, with a buyer rating it five stars but saying they are ‘finding it hard to operate’. 

However, over on Amazon, a shopper disagreed, as they said: “Easy to use and keep clean.” A second delighted customer commented: “Love it, I work early and set this for when I come downstairs in the morning. Always makes a great brew.”

Someone else added: “Looks wonderful in the kitchen, brews a nice cup and is a large jug.” One person left a handy tip in their review: “Overall a great coffee pot. The opening to fill the tank is small, so I fill an empty wine bottle with water to fill the tank which eliminates spills. Makes a good cup of coffee. Happy with my purchase.”

Sadly not everyone was completely satisfied with the coffee machine, as one buyer noted: “I bought this to match the kettle and toaster. I was surprised at how flimsy the coffee pot handle was and sure enough it has now cracked.”
