FKA Twigs to Host New ‘Eusexua’ Radio Show on Apple Music
The series will dig into the creation of the musician’s latest album and feature DJ mixes from collaborators, friends, and musical inspirations
FKA Twigs will dig into the world of her latest album, Eusexua, with a new Apple Music radio show. The series launches today, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. ET on Apple Music Club, with new episodes airing bi-weekly.
“Eusexua World” will find Twigs guiding listeners through her creative process and the various influences that shaped her new album, whether in music or art. The series will also feature DJ mixes from artists who inspired the album, including Dr. Rubinstein, LSDXOXO, and Eartheater. Episode one will feature a mix from Twigs’ longtime collaborator Koreless.
In a statement, Twigs said she wanted “Eusexua World” to avoid more “literal” discussions of her inspirations and instead tap into the “energy” and “community” that fuels her creative process. To that end, she noted that other mixes would come from not just her favorite artists and producers, but also her partner, her make-up artist, her hairstylist, and others from her inner circle.
“It’s the music that has inspired the creative world that we have built around the album — from the mood boards for styling to my choreography,” Twigs said.
Elsewhere, Twigs spoke about how Eusexua became a “concept that has completely taken over my life for the past three years or so,” adding: “It’s a way of life and it’s the food you eat and it’s the vibes that you create with your friends and I wanted to give everybody a peep into that world on a deeper level, the artists that have helped me write and produce and have inspired me to go down this road. But this is really my family and everybody and this mix of people that have contributed to the world of Eusexua in that way. So I wanted to give a peep behind the curtain and a dive into the well of what it is to be consumed by Eusexua.”
FKA Twigs released Eusexua earlier this month, with the album earning a rave four-star review from Rolling Stone. The LP marks Twigs’ third studio album and her first proper LP since 2019’s Magdalene (though in 2022, she did release the mixtape, Caprisongs).
