Fantastic Cat Stalk Adam Duritz in ‘So Glad You Made It’ Video: Watch

Fantastic Cat must have kompromat over Adam Duritz and DMC. For some reason, the Counting Crows frontman and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rapper appear in the music video for the band’s video for “So Glad You Made It.” The end result is, in typical Fantastic Cat fashion, a cheesy scream, complete with cringey one-liners and an “app” that allows the group to sing like Duritz (spoiler: he really does lend his voice to the song).

“So Glad You Made It” appears on Fantastic Cat’s new album Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat, the follow-up to their 2022 debut The Very Best of Fantastic Cat. Out today, the album is the group’s first collaborative effort in writing songs: Their debut was a mix of material that each member — Brian Dunne, Don DiLego, Anthony D’Amato, and Mike Montali — brought separately to the band.

On Thursday, Fantastic Cat hosted a listening party that doubled as a pet adoption drive benefitting Animal Care Centers of New York. “A lot of people said we couldn’t make a second album, or rather that we shouldn’t make a second album,” D’Amato said in a statement. “It turns out they were right, but at least we helped some cats in the process.”

Fantastic Cat kick off their tour in support of Now What’s What I Call Fantastic Cat with a headlining show at Brooklyn Made on Friday night. On Saturday, they’ll perform on CBS Saturday Morning, their latest TV appearance following a white-suited affair on New York station WPIX earlier this week.
