Fans hail ‘absolutely unbelievable’ thriller on Amazon Prime | Films | Entertainment

Fans have praised an underrated crime thriller on Amazon Prime that has an excellent Rotten Tomatoes score but not many people are aware of it. Amazon Prime has a huge selection of crime and thriller flicks to watch, so it’s not surprising that some things end up overlooked in the crowd but there is one “underappreciated” film that viewers say is a must-watch on the streaming platform.

“It it based on a chilling and shocking true story,” said on TikTok user as they praised the film, calling it “absolutely unbelievable” and “one of the most underrated and underappreciated, least talked about films of last year”. The Order was released in 2024 and has an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%, with reviews praising its production and performances from the cast which includes famous faces such as Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult. The film follows an FBI agent who goes after a white supremacist terrorist group known as the Order, which was active in the US in the 1980s.

The story sees agent Terry Husk, played by Jude Law, going after the group as they plan to overthrow the US government. Nicholas Hoult plays Robert Jay Mathews, the leader of The Order.

One TikTok user EccyReviews said that Amazon Prime subscribers “need” to watch this movie “immediatelty”. He revealed: “It has probably one of the best endings of last year. Don’t worry, you definitely won’t be disappointed when it comes to the end.”

The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews when it was released last year, making it more surrising that it has flown largely under the radar. One viewer wrote: “Jude Law fits his role perfectly, as does rest of cast. Real straight forward, tell it as it is, no nonsense movie. Gritty, amazing discipline and more than enough action. This is one very solid movie.”

Another said: “A movie most people didn’t know about but what a hidden gem. Direction and acting is brilliant and the story keeps you locked in. Watch it!”

A third said: “Jude law is unrecognisable in this film, his accent completely gone. I’m always amazed when UK actors do that. The movie was well done, acting and everything was great.”
