Even better, the mop head is machine washable. Pop it into the washing machine at up to 30C and you can use it time and time again. If you’re using it very regularly it’s suggested to replace the mop head every six months, so do take note of that.

But another bugbear of cleaning is often not being able to get to certain places in the house. This mop head design means you can really get into some tight nooks and crannies, leaving no corner uncleaned. 

With an average four-star rating on Amazon out of more than 180 reviews, there’s lots to love about this Vileda mop. One person said: “Loved the design and easy use. Cleaned wooden floors without soaking them the spin system is great.” Someone else said: “Absolutely brilliant, keeps dirty and clean water separate. Cleans very well and the spinner dries mop out well.”

Some people pointed out what they say are negatives, with one person saying in a review: “It is well made but I do find it a little difficult to use due to a shorter handle than I’d like so I find it a little painful on my back.” It’s worth noting it does have a handle that extends from 55-123cm. Another person noted: “I don’t think the ringer gets enough water out unless you do a good few times ..my previous spin mop was great until my dog chewed all the bucket so reason for a new one”.
