Dyson and Shark hair dryers plummet in price

Dyson’s Supersonic R hair dryer is finally available to shoppers from today (April 2), with sign up now live for beauty fans wanting to get their hands on the retailer’s ‘most powerful yet lightest’ hair dryer to date. The gadget was previously only available for stylists to purchase, but now the stylish pink gadget can be anyone’s for £449. The Supersonic R incorporates a pioneering streamlined flow heater that’s engineered to heat airflow evenly, ensuring ‘fast drying and precise styling with salon-quality results’.  

Shoppers can sign up here to be notified when the hair dryer is available for purchase. In the meantime, Dyson is currently offering a great discount on the Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer that was originally priced at £399.99 and can now be purchased for £349.99. The stylish blue gadget auto-adapts to the hair, enhancing natural shine while protecting the scalp by improving moisture retention.

The Supersonic Nural offers ‘fast, intelligent drying’ with ‘no heat damage’. It comes with several attachments to perfect your hair style, including a diffuser, styling concentrator, wide-tooth comb, flyaway attachment and a gentle air attachment.  

Boots is also currently offering a £50 discount on the lighter teal blue Supersonic Nural hair dryer. Dyson customers are full of praise for the styling tool, with it earning an impressive 4.5 out of five star-rating from over 800 reviews. One impressed buyer wrote: “Best hair dryer I have ever used. Effortless styling for great looking hair. Perfect temperature control.”

Sadly one person was left disappointed, as they explained: “Really let down by the poor attachments. The blow dry nozzle is too wide for my thin hair so the combo of not very high heat (at max heat) with gaping nozzle leaves a frizzy bird nest that the smoothing attachment will not fix. Useless for £320, crazy poor design.”

However, someone else disagrees, as their glowing five-star review reads: “Amazing product and technology. Does what it says, powerful for styling hair but can be gentle on your hair and scalp with the sensor enabled, great set of attachments, love them all. Light and compact. Stylish case. Worth every penny.”

Shark has also slashed the price of one of its popular hair dryers, with the SpeedStyle Pro FLEX 4-in-1 High-Velocity Hair Dryer now costing £179.99, down from £199.99. This ‘powerful and lightweight’ gadget has a folding handle, making it ideal for storage and travel. 

The Shark hair dryer comes with four styling attachments; a frizzfighter finishing tool, quicksmooth brush, turbo concentrator and defrizzfast diffuser. It offers a Scalp Shield Mode which is designed to protect new hair growth from extreme heat.
