Dunelm’s £38 double bedding set impresses as it ‘really is non-iron’
Dunelm bedding sets have earned their name as some of the best value for money sets on the market, rivaling the likes of more expensive brands such as Marks and Spencer and Piglet in Bed.
New to the Dunelm website, the Astra Textured Floral Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set starts at £26 for a single, £38 for a double, £42 in kingsize and £48 for super kingsize. It comes in three colours, white, sage green and apricot, all with a stylish textured floral pattern.
The soothing print is sure to add a calming feel to any bedroom and made from a soft and durable microfibre composition, it should stand the test of time as well as feeling comfortable.
Customers confirm that the Astra bedding set ‘makes the bedroom’ as it looks ‘classic and clean’. Looks aside, the bedding ‘washes well’ and there is ‘no need to iron’ it, checking one chore off your list.
One person left a review that reads: “Perfect. Really is non iron. Better than expected.” And a second said: “Really pretty and looks expensive, bonus is that it doesn’t need ironing! Looks lovely on the bed with a coloured throw and cushions. Very classy.”
A third shared: “Really nice duvet set. Non iron. And I’m not a fan of ironing when it comes to bed clothes. Wash it and it comes out almost completely uncreased. Also it helps if you hang it well as it dries. Pattern is lovely and the material very nice. I got the Mandalay as well for the same reasons.”
Negative reviews are hard to come by, however, not everyone was 100% pleased with the fabric used.
Someone said: “Looks gorgeous but because the top is man made fibres and not cotton it moves around the duvet all the time which is really annoying. It does look gorgeous when no-one is in the bed and it washes well. It’s just a pity it could not be 100% cotton – I’d give it 5 stars if it was. Plus I’d have bought 2 sets.”
If you’d rather your bedding be made from 100% cotton, you might prefer the Yard Natural Hebden Striped 100% Cotton Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set from Next. A double size is £38 and shoppers are calling it ‘hotel quality’. To save on bedding, Soak & Sleep have up to 50% off in their winter sale.
