Debenhams cuts 89% off watch that’s ‘dead ringer’ for Rolex

With Black Friday just around the corner, it’s a great time to start stocking up on Christmas presents. If you’re not sure what to get for a significant other, a dad or a grandad, a watch is a timeless gift, and Debenhams is a good place to find great offers. 

The retailer has cut a whopping 89% off the Stührling Lineage watch, dropping the price from £825 to £89.50. 

The Lineage watch has a 20mm stainless steel link bracelet and fixed bezel, framing luminous hands and index markers so you can check the time in the dark. The brand says the watch uses Miyota Japanese quartz movement to keep the watch on time while keeping an ultra-slim 9mm profile.

Buyers can choose from a variety of colour combinations for the watch face and strap, and all of them are discounted by different amounts. At the time of writing, all variations of the silver-toned strap, including a blue, black, or white face, were discounted by 89% to £89.50. 

There is also a rose gold toned strap with black watch face, discounted by 88% (discounted price £95.40), and two multi-toned strap options priced at £93 after a discount of 88.8%. 

Debenhams shoppers are loving their Stührling watches, with one five-star review saying: “This watch is stunning. It’s a fantastic timekeeper thanks to the Japanese Miyota quartz movement, has luminated hour and minute hands and baton indices and a super handy magnifier over the date window.

“It doesn’t hurt that it looks stunning, too. It’s extremely rare for me to give an item five stars but this beautiful timepiece deserves them – a ‘snap your hand off’ bargain, bravo Debenhams!”

Another compared it to more high-end brands, saying: “Found this watch of exceptional value, bought for grandson. Excellent workmanship and superior design, similar to Rolex design.”

A review on the brand’s website echoed this: “A dead ringer for that expensive watch that begins with an “R”, but I don’t need to mortgage my home to own it!”

Despite all the different choices available for the specific watch, it may not be suitable for shoppers who prefer a leather strap. For those looking for something more along those lines, Debenhams has discounted another Stührling with a leather strap by 91%, slashing the price from £1,050 to £95.40.
