Deadline reports that Warner Bros. Discovery has agreed to sell Coyote vs. Acme’s global distribution rights to Ketchup Entertainment, the same production studio that bought The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie last fall. Ketchup reportedly spent around $50 million on the sale, and plans to release the feature some time in 2026.

In a statement about the distribution deal, Ketchup’s CEO Gareth West expressed excitement about being able to bring the film to theaters. “Coyote vs. Acme is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, capturing the essence of the beloved Looney Tunes characters while introducing them to a new generation,” West said. “We believe it will resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers alike.”

Consider how passionately people online have been calling for Coyote vs. Acme’s release, a theatrical run could wind up being a wild success. But given how poorly The Day The Earth Blew Up did at the box office, that might not be the case.
