Last year, EON Productions sold its James Bond creative control to Amazon MGM Studios in a near $1 billion deal.

It wasn’t long before new producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal hired Dune trilogy director Denis Villeneuve to helm the 007 reboot with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight as screenwriter.

Surely 2026 is the year that the new Bond actor is announced? Well, allegedly Fantastic Beasts’ Callum Turner has let slip he’s already bagged the role.

According to The Mail on Sunday’s insider, Dua Lipa’s 35-year-old fiancée has “been blabbing all over town. Callum is the new Bond, it’s been confirmed. Everyone in his circle is talking about it. It’s the worst-kept secret going.” Turner is currently odds-on to be cast as the new Bond on 1-2, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson just behind him on 7-2.
