Coast-to-coast storm dumps snow and rain as post-holiday travel begins

Heading into the first weekend of the new year, it is a busy night on the roads and at the airports as holiday travelers make their way home. Several days of heavy snow have made a mess in parts of central New York, while coastal flooding left roads underwater in the San Francisco Bay Area.
