Clarins SPF cream praised as ‘best product’ now on sale
Dermatologists and skincare experts have been emphasising the importance of sun cream for everyone, no matter what age. With more warm weather on the way, shoppers have spotted an SPF that doubles as a day cream.
Luxury French skincare brand Clarins’ UV Plus Multi-protection SPF 50 Moisturising Fluid is on sale at Amazon with 15% off, dropping from £34 to £28.90. Designed for city dwellers that work or live in the Big Smoke, the popular sun cream has been marked as an ‘Amazon’s Choice’ product.
Powered by organic mango leaf extract, which gives an invigorating mango scent when applied, the Clarins product protects against five pollutants encountered in everyday life – atmospheric, indoor, pollen, blue light and photo-pollution. Other than Clarins, Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily UV Defense also offers anti-pollution protection and SPF50 PA+++ against UVA/UVB rays.
Helping to prevent the look of premature skin ageing and damage from environmental aggressors, it is also fragrance-free and suitable for all skin types. LookFantastic currently has 20% off on the Kiehl’s SPF, offering it for £35.60. Elsewhere, pharamacy giant La Roche Posay’s UVMUNE Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid SPF50+ is another beauty favourite and now on offer for £16 at Boots.
Amazon shoppers seem to love the Clarins sunscreen for its lightweight, quick-absorbing texture that ‘works well with makeup’ and ‘does not leave the face white or greasy’. The ingredients help enhance the skin’s self-defence by 64% and hydrate the skin for hours.
“I love this cream. It really does seem to help and protect my dry fragile skin,” a five-star shopper commented and a second described it as “great skin protectant” and added: “This is my go-to product to protect my face from sun and wind. My skin is very sensitive and I have rosacea. I use it every day, with or without make-up on top. Best product I’ve found.”
But one long-time Clarins fan believed the Moisturising Fluid formula had changed and was left disappointed: “It is no longer a light, thin, almost watery product (in the best way possible) but now more like a traditional sun screen product – thicker and stickier to apply. I found I had to use more product that usual as it didn’t ‘spread’ across the skin as freely.”
Clarins did not confirm if there has been a change in the formula but they advised shoppers to: “Warm the product in your hands to bring it up to your skin temperature and help it take effect immediately”.
Clarins’ UV Plus Multi-protection SPF 50 Moisturising Fluid can be purchased on Amazon at £28.90.
