Christine Lampard’s white summer dress is just £56

Christine Lampard filled in as the host of Lorraine this week. On Thursday’s episode, she chose a crisp white sleeveless dress from an affordable high-street brand that fans said “looked fabulous” on her. The dress from Very, which is part of the Michelle Keegan collection, has a classic silhouette that would make a great versatile option for the summer months. 

Sharing her look on Instagram, Christine captioned the shot: “Great to be back with the @lorraine team! Loving my @michkeegan dress from @veryuk”. Though the Pleated Corset Sleeveless Dress usually sells for £70, it’s now reduced to just £56. 

In the comments section of her posts, fans complemented her look with one saying: “You looked fabulous”. Another person wrote: “Beautiful as always”.

The soft white colour taps into the Wimbledon whites trend that’s likely to continue for the rest of the summer, despite the tournament having wrapped up. Very describes it as a maxi dress at 54.5 inches, and it’s available in sizes 6 to 20. The cut makes it long enough to feel elevated but short enough to style casually.

Fit-wise, it’s designed to flatter. The corset-inspired bodice and dropped waist subtly sculpt the waist, while the pleated skirt adds volume and movement.  One customer said: “This dress is absolutely stunning! The quality for the price is amazing.”

Another commented, “The dress is very pretty, and the fabric feels decent.” The neckline also has a high neckline, which, while great for those who prefer modesty over lower-cut garments, has been described by some reviewers as too high and tight. One commenter described this element as “uncomfortable.”
