Buscabulla Announce Album ‘Se Amaba Así’: See the Track List
Puerto Rican duo launch first full-length project since collaborating with Bad Bunny on Un Verano Sin Ti
Buscabulla will look into their own love story — and romantic relationships overall — on their upcoming sophomore album. On Tuesday, the Puerto Rican duo announced Se Amaba Así, due June 13.
“We took the decided approach to turn inward, to ourselves, and explore the struggles of not only our own romantic relationship but romantic relationships in general. Wrestling between traditional versus modern ideas of love, Se Amaba Así is a cathartic, self-reflective journey of songs influenced by Latin and tropical genres of the past seen through a contemporary lens.”
The duo released a short trailer for the album last month, which sees a slow-motion fight between two dogs before flashing to show Buscabulla’s members with microphones. They also released the LP’s first single and opening track “El Camino,” last week, which captures the pair on a road trip before stopping to sing the track at a truck stop.
“‘El Camino’ is a dramatic disco guitar track about coming to a crossroads in a relationship and getting lost traveling through the uncharted, dark territories of life,” said Buscabulla’s Raquel Berrios. “We wanted to achieve a cinematic sound to open up the movie that is our new record.
The duo — comprising Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle — will celebrate the album’s release by going on a U.S. tour a week following the release, with stops in Miami, Atlanta, DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and several cities in Texas. Their debut album, Regresa, dropped in 2020, catching the attention of Bad Bunny, who featured them on Un Verano Sin Ti‘s “Andrea” in 2022. The group dropped the single “11:11” last summer.
