Beauty lovers bag ‘divine’ Penhaligon’s perfumes for £4 each

It’s that time of year when a new summer scent can uplift a beauty routine, but with many gorgeous options on the high street it can sometimes be hard to choose a new favourite. Those who have imminent travel plans or who find it hard to commit to one scent are in luck however, as the Penhaligon’s Best Seller Scent Library contains eight popular 2ml perfumes to try.

The set includes one of the retailer’s most sought-after fragrances Halfeti in a mini size that’s perfect for chucking in a handbag or hand luggage for days out or weekends away. The set is priced at £35, meaning each fragrance works out at around £4.37.

Penhaligon’s isn’t the only popular perfumer offering minis to try as Space NK is selling the Phlur Discovery Set for £39. It includes eight little scents including the Golden Rule and Strawberry Letter Eau de Parfums.

Meanwhile for a more budget-friendly option shoppers may wish to consider the Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Discovery Collection 5×1.5ml which is priced at £25 on Cult Beauty. It includes less fragrance than the Penhaligon’s option, but beauty fans can expect to find the super popular Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense scent inside.

Back to Penhaligon’s, and the set also boasts the inclusion of Luna, Empressa, Endymion, Vra Vra Vroom, Duchess Rose, Lord George and Constance. Empressa has notes of peach, vanilla and shimmering blood orange, while Vra Vra Vroom features the scent of mandarin and magnolia, giving buyers a range of fragrances to try.

Whilst there are currently no reviews of the set on the fragrance retailer’s website, the comments for Halfeti are overwhelmingly positive. One buyer said: “My god this perfume is amazing. Everywhere I go I get asked what is that you’re wearing, I could drink the stuff it’s that good.”

Meanwhile a second raved: “Divine. A deep, unique and long lasting perfume. I dont think I could ever tire of this scent!”

Reviews of another popular choice – Luna – are also mostly glowing, however one user did note that “it didn’t last for the full day so I did have to reapply.” Despite this, someone else commented: “I love Penhaligons fragrances so was excited to try this.

“Luna is a gorgeous fresh fragrance with notes of bergamot and lemon. Absolutely gorgeous scent and I will be buying the full size one, definitely recommended.”

Returning to Halfeti, and a further reviewer wrote: “Perfect. I was introduced to this perfume 3 years ago and its been my signature scent ever since.

“It’s my everyday perfume and I always get so many compliments. Its become my yearly birthday gift as I am completely in love. It is a very lasting scent and makes you smell so fancy. Couldn’t recommend it enough.”
