Banish limescale from shower screen glass easily with two products

A professional cleaner has shared the trick she uses when removing limescale from shower glass – because that’s the thing that’s preventing it from gleaming as good as new.

So, what exactly is limescale? According to Maid2Maid, “limescale is actually mineral buildup or mineral deposits on a glass surface,” and can appear on your shower door. “It’s primarily calcium carbonate, which appears as a build-up of whitish crust on a glass door”.

These mineral deposits are “more prevalent in hard water, which is more mineral-rich,” and build-up can happen anywhere that the water runs, “such as sinks, dishwashers, plumbing fixtures, and washing machines”. However, you’ll likely notice it a lot more when you’re hopping in the shower or in the bathroom.

It can be super embarrassing for you when you have guests round and your shower glass looks like you’ve never touched it since you moved in, however. But luckily a professional cleaner has suggested two products that can banish stubborn limescale with ease.

She then showed off a shower that she’d cleaned, and everything was gleaming as good as new.
