Astrologer names 5 ‘most hated’ zodiac signs—one can be ‘secretive’

Astrology is a centuries-old system that connects celestial movements with human traits and behaviours. At its core are the 12 zodiac signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces — each linked to a specific time of the year. These signs are believed to shape personality traits based on the position of the sun at the time of a person’s birth, which is why they are known as star signs.

Each zodiac sign is associated with certain characteristics. Some are known to be fiery and bold, while others are more grounded or emotional. Some signs interact more naturally than others, which may clash if they struggle to relate to one another. An astrologer at Astrotalk has named the five signs that are “most hated.”

1. Capricorn

There is often a misconception that zodiac signs linked to the fire element (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) would be the most controversial or “hated” due to their outspoken tendencies and impulsive nature.

But Astrotalk’s astrologist notes that any zodiac sign could be “perceived negatively,” including the Earth sign Capricorn. Known for their ambitious and hardworking nature, Capricorns can be relentless in their pursuit of perfection, which can sometimes “make them appear cold or distant.”

More spontaneous signs may even be bored by the practical approach, which Capricorns prefer.

2. Aquarius

Aquarians march to the beat of their own drum, embracing their unique perspectives, notes Astrotalk.

People linked to this star sign tend to be loyal and optimistic, and emotionally detached. But the latter, combined with their individuality, may lead to misunderstandings and judgments from others.

Some astrologers suggest that traditional earth signs—Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn—may find Aquarius’ unpredictable and non-traditional approach unsettling, as they prefer stability and routine.

3. Scorpio

Scorpios are incredibly loyal, which makes them great friends or partners. However, they are known to struggle with opening up, which means others often perceive them as “secretive”, notes Astrotalk.

Those linked to this star’s sign may find themselves at the centre of attention, but not always in a positive light. The astrologer notes that their “intense and mysterious nature can be misinterpreted”, so others may be dubious about Scorpios’ true intentions.

Getting to know Scorpio peers on a deeper level may help other zodiac signs understand their loyalty and passion.

4. Aries

Described as a “fiery trailblazer” by AstroTalk, fire sign Aries is widely known for being bold and assertive.

However, less confident zodiac signs may sometimes perceive this as “aggressive or impulsive.” Like Scorpios, beneath the fiery exterior lies “a zest for life and a determination to overcome challenges,” said the astrologer.

Aries people are often seen as brave, honest, and confident, which makes them natural leaders. However, when it comes to leadership and ego, they may clash with fellow fire signs like Leo.

5. Gemini

Geminis have a quirky skill of dual personalities, which to other signs may appear inauthentic. The Astrotalk expert noted that Gemini’s dynamic communication style can be misunderstood.

Because they are able to dart between things and people, this sign may struggle to form deep or long-lasting connections due to appearing untrustworthy.

When fellow zodiac signs look closer, however, they may understand this air sign’s “adaptability and intellectual depth”.

The five zodiac signs might have unlikable qualities, but it is important to note that astrology is a complex and multifaceted system that cannot be reduced to a single aspect.

That said, understanding the typical qualities of each sign makes people more empathetic and appreciative of one another.
